Hi, I'm Winterlyn. And yes, that's my real name.

Born in January and an Aquarius through and through, I've always seen the world a little differently. As unique as my name is, that's how I view every wedding, relationship, and story I have the privilege of documenting.

I grew up in Chicago's Logan Square neighborhood, where my roots still run deep. Long before I became a wedding photographer, I was fascinated by photographs themselves. Not because they were beautiful, but because they were proof. Proof that a moment happened. Proof that we were here.

The older I get, the more I appreciate the role photographs play in preserving our legacy. Memories fade and details soften over time, but a photograph has the power to transport us back to a specific moment, a specific feeling, and the people who mattered most.

Ironically, I never planned to become a wedding photographer. A close friend asked me to photograph their wedding years ago, and somewhere between the emotion, the connection, the architecture, the details, and the once-in-a-lifetime moments unfolding in front of me, I found what I was meant to do.

For the past twelve years, I've had the honor of documenting celebrations across Chicago and beyond. While I love creating beautiful images, what means the most to me are the relationships built along the way. Many of my couples began as clients and have become friends whose lives I've been fortunate enough to watch unfold long after the wedding day.
