Lake Katherine Nature Center and Botanical Gardens Engagement Photographer | Jessica + Brandon

Jessica & Brandon traveled all the way from Indiana to Lake Katherine in Palos Heights, IL. last week for their engagement session. I hit traffic bad coming from the city but luckily Jessica & Brandon just flew to the location and ended up being an hour early! I met Jessica months ago along with her mom when we met up for coffee to go over her wedding contract and talk about her upcoming wedding.

My first meeting with Brandon was at their engagement session and I have to say I was so impressed with his whole attitude toward the session. A few grooms just want to get this part over and done with. It’s one more thing they have to do for their wedding and some are not educated and don’t see the value of an engagement session. All of my wedding packages include a complimentary engagement session and I do this because it allows for the ice to be broken and for me to get to know my clients better as well as for them to see the direction I will be taking them on their wedding day!

Brandon had a big smile on his face and shook my hand politely and was ready to to take some photos with his beautiful fiancee! These two didn’t need much direction and just posed so naturally. Jessica’s smile was so contagious and these two kids didn’t hold back from showing just how much they love and care for one another. I am so happy they choose me to document their wedding day and I can’t wait for next September <3
