Oh, how I love Logan Square. Growing up in a multi-culture neighborhood while sharing so many amazing experiences with my childhood friends is something I will forever cherish. I moved away from LS 15 years ago and a part of me has never left. Whenever one of my clients recommends Logan Square for a session, I jump at the chance to visit my old stomping ground. We started the first portion of Nancy and Angel’s Engagement Session at the Chicago mural on Milwaukee Ave and moved over to Park No. 567. The Chicago mural is a must-place to start your session. It’s just a masterpiece representation of who Chicagoans are. Nancy and Angel knocked their engagement session out of the park! Baseball reference because we all know how much Angel loves the Cubs. Go, White Sox! lol

Like all great millennial love stories, Nancy swiped right on Angel’s dating profile. Under his profile Angel listed “ask me for a haiku,” and so she swiped right and has been hearing him give 5-7-5s ever since. Also like all great love stories, Nancy showed up 45 minutes late to their first date, and at this point, Angel realized that they will never be on time again. Their first date was at Tanta, the famous Peruvian restaurant downtown because great love stories don’t start with salad.
Our second part of Nancy and Angel’s engagement session was at one of their favorite cocktail bar, BokehChicago in Albany Park, Chicago. What a great name that we Photographers can appreciate. I LOVE this place. Nancy ordered for me after I tried to order a Corona. When my drink came I was blown away by the presentation. Of course, it was delicious. I can’t wait to come back here and enjoy more of their menu with my husband. Check them out if you are ever in the area.
I spent over three hours with Nancy and Angel during our session and I loved every moment of it. I can’t wait to capture more of their love story this November. Thank you to you both for being so gracious and fun to be around.
