Spring Lincoln Park Engagement Session
Springtime in Lincoln Park, Chicago is breathtaking! There is no other way to describe it. Kahla, Brandon, and I had the best weather this past Saturday. According to our local meteorologist, we have had only one day of sun in the last 42 days! Yikes. So to say we were thrilled to be outdoors and shooting in the park where Brandon proposed to Kahla is an understatement.
Meeting for the first time
When I first had my initial consultation with Kahla and Brandon I just knew this was my couple. Brandon was a bit quiet and reserved, kind of like me, and Kahla was the energy in the room. I love Kahla and her energy and how warm she comes off as. Meeting for the first time in person for our engagement session, Kahla was even more lovely in person. I can completely understand why Brandon fell in love with this woman!
Kahla and Brandon both grew up in Florida, went to Florida State University, and lived in the same apartment complex in Tallahassee leading up to meeting in Chicago years later. How amazing is that! In December of 2018, on their first date, they went to Scofflaw and talked until the restaurant closed. A few months into dating, they took a big leap with a trip to Sydney, Australia. They kept making memories and by the end of 2019, moved in together. A year later, they found their first home. One evening before dinner at Riccardo Trattoria, they went for a walk around Lincoln Park. Out in front of the Lincoln Park Conservatory, Brandon asked Kahla to get a picture of the skyline and when she turned around, he was on one knee and asking her if she would marry him. Fast forward to Saturday and here they were once again at Lincoln Park for their engagement session.
Kahla and Branon were looking for a romantic, fun, and natural vibe for their engagement session. They wanted both city shots and nature shots at their favorite spot in Lincoln Park, Alfred Caldwell Lily Pool.
We got so many epic photos that it was extremely hard for me to pick my favorites for this blog post. I narrowed it down and here they are! I can not wait for these two to say I Do in September! Congratulations again, Kahla & Brandon.
