If you have never heard the term or know what a second shooter is, let me enlighten you.

The second shooter is a professional photographer who is hired to assist and shoot parts of the wedding day with the main photographer. The photographer you hired to shoot your wedding. My job as a second shooter is to shoot the groom, cocktail hour, and assist in making the photographer and client’s wedding day run smoothly. I capture more candid moments, while the main photographer focuses on the bigger moments as they unfold. When you have a second shooter at your wedding, on average a gallery with a second shooter delivers 20-30% more than one without – about 200+ photos depending on the wedding day itself.

I started second shooting 6-7 years ago and continued even when my own business took off. It gave me the opportunity to meet and work with professionals in my industry as well as learn and grow as an artist. I also get to work with friends who are my second shooters. When I second shoot, I shoot as if I am shooting my own client. I give 110% to the main photographer. I want to always serve them and their client as best as I can.
