Engagement Session At North Ave Beach: Hands down, one of the most cherished parts of my job is meeting couples before their big day. Your engagement session? It’s incredibly vital for building a bond with your wedding photographer. It’s that time when we get to see each other face-to-face, spend quality time together, & learn to be easy in front of the camera.

Come game day (your wedding), nothing will stand in your way. Helen and Steven’s Lincoln Park / North Ave Beach Chicago engagement photos were perfect for this. They even brought along a very important family member, too 😉

NATURE BOARDWALK AT LINCOLN PARK ZOO

We began their engagement adventure at the Nature Boardwalk in Lincoln Park Zoo. The Lincoln Park Honeycomb is a special place where Helen and Steven had their first date. This stunning boardwalk offers all the gorgeous greenery your heart desires and is such a soothing escape from the city’s chaos.

Helen and Steven have a sweet pup named Nari who they share together—bringing her along was absolutely essential. I suggest bringing someone to watch your pet while you pose for photos. This way, when it comes time to focus on you two and your love story, you can do it without any worries 🤍

NORTH AVENUE BEACH

As sunset drew near, we shifted to our second location: North Avenue Beach. Here, you get the best of both worlds—breathtaking water views and the city skyline stretching out in the distance. It’s truly one of my favorite spots for capturing engagement moments! Helen and Steven did a quick outfit change & we spent the rest of the evening soaking in those serene views together.
