Intimate Skokie Elopement
The courthouse felt different somehow. Except for the few couples who had made the decision to get married that day, the place felt empty. Yet I was surrounded by so much love and hope. These feelings were radiating off of not only my couple, Ashley and Andrew but also the half a dozen or so couples that had ventured out this day.
These beautiful couples were pledging their love and commitment to one another in front of a judge, not in their church or venue of their dreams. However on this day that did not seem to matter all that much. During this difficult time in our lives, the one thing that holds true is LOVE. We yearn for it. We seak it at every turn in life. The only thing we can truly rely on is the love we have for others and the love that is reciprocated back to us.
Ashley and Andrew celebrated their Intimate Elopement this past Friday at the Skokie courthouse. They have so much love for one another, so much hope for the future, and are truly the two kindest people I have had the pleasure of meeting. Before I shot this Elopement I sent a small questioner to them both and after getting back their answers and seeing them together as husband and wife, I knew that they both meant every word they said about one another. Andrew said, ” I’m most excited about putting on a wedding ring and the lifelong commitment that represents”. After they were wed, Andrew had to go into the clerk’s office to retrieve their wedding certificate. Ashley noticed that Andrew was staring and touching his wedding band. He looked at her and just smiled <3 Ashley said in her part of the questioner that she was most looking forward to marrying her best friend!! I have no doubt that she has. I truly believe these two kindred spirits will spend their lifetime making one another happy. Congratulations to them both!!!
