Alfred Caldwell Lily Pool Wedding Photographer | Irene & Eric
I was so thrilled when Eric messaged me a year ago that he and his fiancee, Irene were interested in hiring me to be their wedding photographer. You see, I have known Eric since we were in elementary school. We have stayed in touch via social media so when I saw that he was engaged I couldn’t have been happier for him and his beautiful bride to be! When I met Irene and Eric for their wedding consultation I just immediately knew that I wanted to shoot this wedding. The three of us along with Eric’s sister, Elizabeth, sat and talked for over 3 hours about life, their wedding and everything the future held for this wonderful couple. The time just flew by!
On their wedding day, the weather couldn’t have been more perfect. It was a beautiful spring day and Irene and Eric had chosen the Alfred Caldwell Lily Pool for their first look and bridal portraits. Irene never looked more beautiful than when she was walking with her father to meet Eric for their first look. After some portraits and bridal photos, we headed over to the Lincoln Park Conservatory to continue shooting portraits and then headed over to their ceremony/reception at the Diamond Garden Banquet Hall. The Diamond Garden Banquet Hall in Logan Square is unlike no other place I have photographed. The venue reminded me of A Midnight Summer’s Dream by William Skaespare. It was so beautiful and romantic and just the right setting for Irene & Eric’s nuptials. The whole evening was just perfect. I was so honored to have been there on this most beautiful celebration. In the end, we are left with the memories and the images to tell the story.
