Cantigny Park Wedding

Mary & Derrik’s wedding was held at Cantigny Park in Wheaton, IL this past Saturday. Cantigny is a place that holds fond memories for me. It’s the place where I take my children to run, play and explore. It was one of the first locations that I had paid sessions at. It was amazing to be back and non less for Mary & Derrik’s wedding day.

I first met Mary & Derrick back in 2019 for their winter engagement session. We had such a fun time! North Ave Beach was frozen over and keeping our footing on the icy pavements was a bit of a challenge but Mary & Derrick were good sports and we made some beautiful memories together. Fast forward to 2020 and well, you all know the rest.

Thankfully this amazing couple decided against a smallish elopement this year and decided to hold their wedding day at Cantigny. Their ceremony was held in the rose garden and the reception was at the golf course. It was important to them both to share this day with their close ones. And boy did we celebrate! Friends and family were thrilled to be together again, celebrating this amazing couple. To know Mary and Derrik is to know good people. Mary’s laugh is contagious lol and Derrick is so upbeat and the life of the party.

I want to thank them both and their entire wedding party for just being the best to be around. I had so much fun getting to know everyone and celebrating with everyone <3 Congratulations Mary & Derrick!
