Chicago North Ave Beach Engagement Photographer
When Mary & Derrick suggested that we shoot their engagement session at Chicago North Ave Beach I was thrilled. North Ave Beach is a special spot for Mary and Derrick. They frequently visit the areas to play volleyball together. My very first interaction with Mary and Derrick was a few months ago. We had an initial consultation over video chat. We instantly hit it off! I knew that this would be a couple I would enjoy getting to know. Derrick & Mary both come off as such warm and loveling people. This past Friday we braved the cold and the icy walkways and shot their engagement session. I’m so glad Derrick didn’t think I was completely nuts when I had him do some tricky maneuvers on the ice. All for the sake of beautiful photos. And beautiful they are! I really enjoyed spending the afternoon with this amazing couple. We went around downtown Chicago in search of the perfect spot for some gorgeous sunset photos. Afterward, we ended the evening at the Goddess & The Baker to warm up with some Joe. Derrick who never drinks coffee even had a cup of their yummy coffee. Suffice to say, I had a wonderful afternoon with Mary & Derrick and I can not wait for their Aug wedding in 2020!
