A few weeks ago I had the honor of spending the day with Alexandra & Nick. One of the loveliest couples I have had the chance to capture. Alexandra is such a warm and beautiful human being. Nick is charming and was so excited about his wedding day. The ceremony was held at Saint Juliana Catholic Church in Chicago. A beautiful and touching ceremony was provided by the church’s priest who happens to also be a good friend of the bride’s family. Afterward, we headed on over to Medinah Country Club for bridal portraits and family formals. You would not believe how cold and windy it was that day. But Alex and Nick never complained. NOT ONCE. Alex had one of the longest and most beautiful vails on and the wind kept whipping it around. She laughed and we all helped to keep the bride from being swept up and away with how strong the wind was blowing.

I have never shot a wedding at the Medinah Country Club and in fact, I didn’t know the place had existed. I must have driven past it a hundred times and never paid much attention. My mistake for sure because this venue is stunning. The atmosphere is romantic and dreamy. The reception room was so gorgeous that the bride and groom were left speechless when they entered in for a preview before the guest was allowed in. The remaining events went off without fault and the bride & groom danced the night away. It was a lovely wedding and I am so grateful to have been a part of the celebration.
