Garden of the Phoenix Wedding Photographer – Suzana & Oscar have been together for 10 years! They met in College at UIC. Suzana was in her first year and Oscar was in his last year of school. Shortly after meeting, Oscar had learned that he and Suzana had the same hour-long commute. During those rides, he tried to charm and sweet-talk her, but she wouldn’t budge. Then one Saturday night they were at the same party and he finally got to talk to her in a neutral space and without any constraints. She sent him a message so that he could have her number, and they have talked ever since… and now here they are! 10 years of friendship and love and family coming together in Suzana’s family church, Saint Michael the Archangel. The bride grew up going to that church and was involved in the choir. Members of that choir sang on the day of the wedding! Suzana would take Oscar to church there often. Oscar has a special tie to South Chicago, the neighborhood where the church is located because he grew up in the area.

During these times Oscar and Suzana couldn’t have the big bash they had planned for. Covid-19 has put a stop to these types of celebrations but the love between these couples is never diminished.  The day was beautiful! The weather couldn’t have been nicer and everyone was just so happy to witness these two vow their love and commitment in front of God, family, and friends. Congratulations to the happy couple!! I hope they have a wonderful and relaxing Honeymoon in Ann Arbor <3
