In the bustling city of Chicago, a trend is emerging that’s refreshing and, quite frankly, heartwarming—micro weddings. The story of Carrie and Jim’s petite yet profoundly meaningful celebration is a testament to the beauty of intimate gatherings. In a world where weddings often turn into grand spectacles, their journey illustrates that sometimes, smaller indeed can be significantly more beautiful and memorable.
For many, the mere thought of planning a wedding in just a few months is enough to induce a full-on panic attack. It takes a special kind of bravery and a unique bond to take on such a challenge. Carrie and Jim, a couple as extraordinary as they come, found themselves in a predicament that would test their resolve and dedication to one another. Amid unforeseen family health concerns, the couple was propelled into high gear, proving that when faced with adversity, their love and commitment could not only endure but flourish. For Carrie and Jim, the lavishness of the celebration was never the focus. Rather, it was about being surrounded by the love of their immediate families, making every moment count.

Intentionally Limited. Artistically Driven.
To ensure every couple receives the presence and creative energy they deserve, I accept only a select number of commissions each year. While I am a Chicago based wedding photographer, my work takes me across the Midwest, from the lakefronts of Michigan and the landscapes of Wisconsin to the heart of Illinois and beyond.
If you are planning a celebration in Chicago or a destination wedding elsewhere and value a blend of documentary and editorial photography, I would be honored to hear your story.
