Last weekend, I was privileged to photograph Guissell and Juan’s wedding at The LaSalle Chicago Autograph Collection in the heart of Downtown Chicago. It was my debut shoot at this impressive venue, which exceeded expectations! The day was filled with immense love for the couple, and I am delighted to have been a part of their special day.
A Chicago Love Story
Juan and Guissell initially connected through Hinge during the challenging times of COVID in 2020. Meeting someone face-to-face was quite daunting then, yet they decided to take a chance and arrange to meet at a sushi restaurant. Remarkably, they were solely there, likely due to the restaurant operating at only 25% capacity. Their initial meeting smoothly transitioned into planning a subsequent outing, and a month later, Juan asked Guissell to be his girlfriend.
Their relationship flourished from there, encompassing meetings with each other’s friends and families, exploring new dining spots in the city, celebrating career advancements, adopting a puppy, attending numerous Chicago Fire soccer matches, and more. Eventually, on a spring day, April 17th, Juan proposed to Guissell at one of the memorable locations from their early dating days.
Juan and Guissell celebrated their union with a wedding that beautifully intertwined their Hispanic heritage with elegant, timeless decor at their reception held at The LaSalle Chicago, Autograph Collection.
