Wedding Photography Herrington Inn | Rebecca & Jordan
Rebecca & Jordan had a beauitful wedding in Geneva, IL at the Herrington Inn this past Saturday. Friends and family traveled from afar to celebrate these two amazing people. They came together and celebrated not just the love of the couple, but also their future lives as a family! During the planning of their wedding, Jordan and Rebecca also had the daunting task of moving. Somehow they pulled it off because their wedding day was just perfect! Rebecca and Jordan shared their First Look at Fabyan Forest Preserve which is just an enchanting park. The weather was perfect and the ivy tunnel was in full bloom. We spent time walking the grounds and capturing who they are as a couple. The ceremony at Harrington was both a Christian and Jewish celebration. Everything in the ceremony and reception has meaning to this couple. Jordan built the chuppah with his uncles from trees on their lake house property in NY. Rebecca’s friend from College performed the ceremony.
First date and Proposal!
Rebecca and Jordan first met online in 2013. On their first date, Jordan recited word for
word his best man speech from his brother’s wedding a few years before, and he ended the night
giving Rebecca a hug and following up that night about their next date. From that first date, Rebecca knew he was family oriented and diligent and she was hooked.
Jordan proposed at a private waterfall on an 8-mile hike in mucky dirt on
the Napali Coast in Hawaii. After 4 hours of forging a waist-deep river 6 times, walking through
bamboo and eucalyptus forests, they arrived at a waterfall, where Jordan set up a go pro and got down
on one knee to propose so he could capture the moment for them and the entire family. Jordan had promised to make Rebecca laugh every day, and I saw that on their wedding day!
